Purple and Red Clematis
|Three clematis vines are planted around a beaded frame. The full blooms measure 3 inches across and are made in three shades of purple and two shades of red colored beads. They are planted in a double walled hand thrown container with cut outs to show the center color of brownish red with an iron oxide glaze as the outside finish. On the outside of the planter are three clay built clematis blooms that are adorned with beaded centers to match the beaded flowers. The piece stands 13 inches tall and the clay container is 9 inches across. The sand, in which the piece is planted, is from Ruby Lake, Montana.
